For the first hiking day, we headed to a pleasant waterfall hiking trail. The climb wasn’t steep, though it was almost an eight-mile trek to some amazing waterfalls. I took many photos, though did miss my DSLR camera for such situations, especially for long exposure shots, or high zoom pictures. For anyone in the area, it’s just an awesome hike with some memorable falls.
The hike being finished, we returned to town and grabbed some brews. The picnic area outside the brewery was teeming with people now, all having food and drinks and listening to a nice set of music by some twins who played a guitar and bass and covered songs from the 50s to the 80s. The entertainment was nicely done…and free. Easy to see why crowds gather there.
Another fun thing was an ice cream truck in an old-style camper. It looked to be parked there full time for the various folks who travel into town. Overall, a very pleasant evening of relaxing music and beer.
Terry took some time to get some rest, so Lesly and I played a board game she brought along. ‘Twas an excellent way to spend a warm summer evening: drink brew, play a game, and enjoy the last full month of summer. And the last moments of rest before the epic hike the next day.
