'Tis a Pity She's a Whore
by John Ford
Published in 1633 (I finished it on October 11, 2005)
Buckets of blood! Well, that was our mantra during the course. This play occurred at a time of more blood = better show. Word is the playwrights were constantly competiting to outdo each other with more wild and extravagant acts (see Hollywood today). It's a story with incest, murder, betrayal, and so forth. You won't find it on too many stages today.
