So many books ... you know the rest.
The Games That Changes the Gameby Ron JaworskiPublished in 2010 (I finished it on January 01, 2016)
The book focuses on key turning events in the NFL, mainly brought about by strategies and changes implemented by coaches looking for new ways to improve offenses and defenses. A few were so successful that the rules had to be altered to ensure the games were still fun to watch.
It's an okay book, with some great inside information on some of the most successful coaches of all time. However, it also gets too detailed in the actual plays. I love football, but well know that two days later, I'll forget all the details. So they're a little pointless to include. For breaking down plays, it's best to do what the pros do and use the film footage—impossible in a book of course.
